RT@terryfrd: Dr Seri & Darin explored 8-mile section below controversial Phraya Suren sluice gate, finding bottlenecks reducing its drainage capacity

RT@terryfrd: The big question, said Dr Seri, is not in lifting the gate, but finding ways to get water moving below it. Only about 10% efficient now.

RT@terryfrd: Meanwhile, Dr Seri & Darin noticed a significant improvement in Khlong Prem (no garbage), increasing drainage rate by 3-4 times.

RT@terryfrd: Most of Khlong Premnow below embankments but there is still one stretch where it is not, meaning community there will suffer for a while.

RT@terryfrd: Almost entire length of CP now below banks. Pathum Thani is exception by abt 10cms.2-3 more days & field water will be able to drain into it

RT@terryfrd: BKK side of river has major canals stopping continued flow frm north. Not true above Khlong Rangsit, or other side, where wet continues

RT@terryfrd: In a nutshell, overall flood situation continues to improve, but patience required 4 lowlying areas above BKK & on Nonthaburi, Thonburi side
