I have bought some over the counter medication while in the UK..it is Migraleve (pink)(paracetamol, codeine, buclizine)..I have found it very effective..

I have been informed by a doctor friend that this medication is illegal in Indonesia..Does anyone know if it is also illegal in Thailand and/or Singapore..?

By illegal I think he means one should have a prescription for it..though I am not sure if he simply means it is forbidden in Indonesia, prescription or not..

thanks..

I was told by a pharmacist in Phuket that codeine was not legal to sell here though I was able to declare and bring one pack through customs with prescription (Panadeine Forte). Perhaps it can be bought with prescription from a doctors clinic I'm not sure.

codeine and any drugs containing codeine is prescription only in Thailand and a controlled substance i.e. avail;able only from hospital pharmacies.

in terms of bringing it in, just be sure you can show a prescription for it and that the quantity is not more than 30 days.

You do take a risk bringing it in without proof of prescription.
