about minute 3:10 describes something no merchant hopes happens to them. For those who do not watch the video, I can summarize. Ian from vWorker.com gets these large purchases for work through his company. He initially celebrates, and then the chargebacks occur a month later. The scammer got his goods already, but the merchant is stuck with $5k+ chargeback + more chargebacks that occur later. They eventually implemented a verification system that saved the day, but it almost wiped him out, as I'm sure it would have many smaller companies.

From my understanding, this does not normally happen to a merchant in thailand, mainly because the cardholder is responsible for what happens on the card until it is actually reported to the bank/cancelled. Can some other thai merchants (or other merchants) that deal with credit cards comment on this or other types of credit card fraud? How well protected in the merchant in thailand?
