Blood Tests In Bangkok

Featured Replies

I'm going to be in Bangkok next week and I want to get a few blood tests done while I'm there. I plan to get a complete blood count (CBC), a Thyroid Panel (probably TSH and Free T4), and possibly get my Vitamin D levels checked. However I'm only going to be in Bangkok for a few days before I fly home. Do any of you have any idea how long it usually takes to get the results back for these? And if I don't have the results before I leave, is it usually possible to have them mail or e-mail you the results?

Could you also recommend a reasonably-priced hospital to get them done? I've been reading previous posts but there's so many of them I'm a little overwhelmed. I'm not rich, so I just want to go to a well-run hospital where they speak a decent level of English and aren't pressuring me to get a bunch of other stuff done.

Thanks for your suggestions

I had my Thyroid checked and tested (full thyroid panel) in BNH about a year ago, and the results were given to me about 3 hours later.

I can't remember the price exactly approx B5,000 including Doctor fee etc, which wasn't too bad considering BNH is one of the more

expensive places.

You can get these results in the same day as long as you go first thing i nthe morning. CBC + thyroid panel will not go beyond a few thousand baht pretty much anywhere, not sure about the D3.

Most of the hospitals have check up packages with prices listed on their websites and many also will let you download a price list for other tests, so you can comparison shop.

Generally speaking, the non profit hospitals like St Lous, Bkk Christian, Camellian etc, will be the least expensive. But it is possible not all offer D3 level.
