Had Deestones fitted on my lawnmower. No complaints, but then the mileage is low, as are the speeds ;)

Should be fine with our D Maxes then. About the same Engine Power.biggrin.gif

Hey, don't knock my mower :D

I'm sure there's a "knock, knock who's there?" joke in there somewhere, but I can't think of one..... :(

Since G/Y came out with that tread design decades ago on their Eagle brand tires they've been copied by most all tire manufacturers. JFYI I wasn't saying they are a US manufacturer just that they have been on the market there for years already.

Well, Goodyear own Dunlop and Kelly Springfield, so I wouldn't be too surprised to see some tech sharing there ;)

While we're at at, Michelin own Uniroyal and BFGoodrich, who are also a majority shareholder in Yokohama, who are a major shareholder in Nankang..

Deestone are 100% Thai though ;)

Michelin own the Uniroyal brand in the USA only, Uniroyal in Europe is part of Conti tire group. They've been trying to get into Yoko but that didn't work out. Michelin owns Okamotu rubber in japan, maker of Riken tire and some other rubber product ;-)

Deestone is, as MRO said, 100% Thai and they are on heavy trucks a long time. their passenger tire production machines and development is quite fresh. There's a lot of ex GY people with them. There's no technology link other then the know how of the Thai GY people and few advisors.

the product is good value and made with Thailand in mind and focus. No issue for P/U and SUV. They export lots of them to Europe and USA.

I used Hakka Paleta or something like that ,from Sweden in the Forests and Snow. They bordered on cheating compared to other brands grip. The carbide tips never fell out like Dunlops coffee1.gif.40 years ago sad.gif.

Good to see you take time on one of your race weekends Hak, how's it going this weekend?

Hey Warp, not much going on, had some electrical gremlins last N3K so didnt race, basically screwed up the year, hehe.

Whoa, easy there fella.... I think you are taking about Niokian Hakkapellitas tires which are made in Finland. If it ever snows here, I am recommending them for MESmith's mower....

I had considered importing snow tyres, just in case, but the lack of a cab or heated seat made me decide against it. Also, in deep snow, I wouldn't be able to locate the lawn.....

Got them on our Suzuki because at the time they were the only ones available in that size I think now Firestone has that size also.

They work for our truck where there is no ego associated with what tires it has on it.

Go to Cockpit and ask?
