i'm planning a bicycle ride from BKK to Satun. Can anyone give me information about hotels south of Chumphon? Will there be hotels on the highway? What towns have hotels? Can you link me to a website with hotels off the tourist track?

There are hotels along the way mostly on the major highway south, there are plenty along the way, I don't know the email or other contact details for the hotels, probably best to google the names of the towns/cities you are planning to stop and add the word hotels or accomodation after the name of the place, for example, Lang Suan hotels, and see what comes up.

Highway 41 is full of drive in motels set up for drivers and love birds. Cannot imagine the attraction of cycling this route though. A potholed, filthy air polluted route with some of the most dangerous drivers. Take care.

There is a nice route that goes to the coast at Sawi to Laung Suan. A pretty ride with very little traffic.

It has lots of resorts with little occupancy at Pak Num Toko and Luang Suan.
