Hi

Im trying to find a builder of hackintosh laptops. I found these guys http://bangkokmac.ne...ucts/hackintosh but they only seem to do desktops.

Just trying to work out if there are any hackintosh laptop suppliers around?

I NEED .. OSX but im tired of carrying around this overpriced metal brick. I need something more powerful, lighter and cheaper.

Otherwise if someone can tell me an ideal powerful laptop to buy that is osx friendly and point me in the right direction to get someone to install osx for me that would be great. Im not a technophobe but i dont enjoy jailbreaking stuff and learning how to do all that stuff and havent got the patience for it. On the other hand i dont want to pay totally over the odds for this either. So im thinking maybe buy the laptop first and them pay someone 1000 baht to put osx on it.. or something like that. Whats a really good, powerful laptop to get which isnt too expensive and is OSX friendly (i hear some motherboards arent good?) also are there problems with the short cut keys on keyboard such as screen brightness, volume etc. And what about the lauch control/dashboard button missing?

Hi, I have an iMac but decided to play with installing OS X Snow Leopard onto a small netbook and a laptop that I have . I tried many methods and most of them failed or did not run right, I finally managed to get OSX SL running on both , with nearly every thing working ok ( WiFi, Trackpad, web cam, Etc ) . This is the method I followed

The trick was to get the OSX SL from the USB Thumb drive and make it boot from the internal HDD of the netbook and laptop .

A lot depends on the laptops specification and there are lists of compatible machines , my netbook and laptop were not on the lists , but they both worked no problem.

I installed Snow Leopard on a Dell Latitude D630 some time ago. Had a couple of hardware issues, in particular wireless network, so I abandoned the experiment.

Worked fine though.
