Scooter Rental And Accomodation In Nakhon Si Thammarat

Featured Replies

I am looking for a guesthouse or hotel close to the center of nakhon si thammarat where I can stay and rent a scooter, anybody knows anything?

Grand Nakara is good it is on the soi opposite of Robinson's Department store.

What sort of accommodations are you looking for?

Pretty sure Grand Nakara is where I stayed last time. Its small and inexpensive, rooms have AC and if you're lucky the TV will pick up one or two English language programs. Expect to climb some narrow stairs. Just down the soi and across the street is Robinson, and the soi its on has a night food market in a large warehouse which projects TV/movies on a giant screen, plus there's various food vendors on the main road and a 7-11. I don't know if I'd call that part of the city "central" though, suppose it depends on what you're looking to do in town.

The Thaksin Hotel is more of a traditional style hotel, but it seemed old and lifeless. When I was there I saw maybe one other guest.

Twin Lotus is more of your traditional western style hotel. Stayed there before as well. Nothing really in walking distance though.

Never saw scooters for rent, but I'm sure most hotels can point you in the right direction. I usually just hire a car and driver to get around if my wife's family isn't available. Plus there's always the Songthaew.
