January 3, 201214 yr Hello, I am moving into a building in Ekamai. The rent is a very good price, but the landlady is a bit behind on technology and only has ethernet in the room. As I also have an iPad, I need wireless. I spoke to her and she is open to having someone come in and install wireless routers on each floor. Any suggestions for a place or person would be great. Thanks in advance! Jay
January 3, 201214 yr My suggestion is to invest in your own wifi router, will probably cost you less that 2k baht. Lock it down with security passwords, or even better restrict by MAC address. The thing will come with instruction on how to do this. I haven't shopped for one in a while, but here's a place to start http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2398080,00.asp Stick with a brand name, saving 300b or so on a cheaper one could be something you'd regret quickly. Can't say what is currently available in Thailand, though.
January 3, 201214 yr I got a nice Dlink wireless router in Tukcom for 950B. Works fine. http://www.dlink.com/DIR-600 This will work perfectly with in-room ethernet, or with an ADSL/cable modem.
