Local Buses

Featured Replies

Hi there, we are going to Surin Beach for the first time and

was wondering if we can just hop on the local bus to go to Patong.

Can anyone tell me where we get on, or do they stop anywhere on the main road?

Also do they have timetables?? Or does the bus run often and what time is the last one from Surin to patong and

Last one from Patong to Surin.

Thanks in advance!!!!

There are no buses running along the beaches because the mafia won't allow it.

If you don't want to hire a vehicle to drive yourself, the only way to get around is in the back of an old, small truck which costs about the same as a London taxi for the same length journey.

Don't argue the price unless you're packing.
