When visiting the mother in law in Thailand, my wife and I want to be more comfortable. Bigger room, ensuite, air con, lounge, fridge in room etc, like a hotel room.

Cant see an easy way to add a room to this house. So are thinking of a free standing bungalow type set up.

Basically concrete slab and rendered breeze block. There is plenty of room to build.

Looking for any ideas, suggestions and expieriences.

My wife and I did the exact same thing many years ago before making the move to Thailand. It was just a basic hotel room type place we used serveral times a year. It was built on slab and measured 16ft X 20ft plus attached bathroom. We used it for 6-7 years and then sold to wife's sister after we moved to Thailand and built our house.
