Infected Sweat Glands

Featured Replies

Hi,

Anyone had problems with infected sweat glands on upper thighs and on pouch? I had recurring infections since I came here and each time is a pencillin cure and sometimes an operation to remove a boil.

Doctor say it is a common disease among westerners but I never heard anyone elses. Any hints to avoid this?

Frequent bathing with an antibacterial soap may help. Also do what you can to reduce sweating e.g. wear loose cotton clothing, avoid overexertion in the heat,. requent showers to cool off.

This occurs when sweat glands get blocked, causing inflammation, following which bacteria present on the skin cause infection.
