andyamstrad Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 Hi I gather there is only one Visa Application Centre in Thailand (Bangkok)? Does anyone know how much the Courier service is and do they deliver to all parts of Thailand? Thanks
mallyrd Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 It might help if you were to describe the type of visa you need.
theoldgit Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 It might help if you were to describe the type of visa you need. And for which country the visa is required for?
andyamstrad Posted January 23, 2012 Author Posted January 23, 2012 Apolgies for that. It is for a UK Visitor Visa for my Thai partner. Normally she has to collect the Visa but makes more sense to have the Courier deliver to her address in North Thailand. Thanks
beano2274 Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 Remember she needs to attend for biometrics at that time she can state that she requires the passport to be couriered back to her.
theoldgit Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 As Beano says she will have to visit the VFS Centre in the first instance, she can book the courier service when she is there, I don't think they deliver it door to door, I think they use a local collection centre http://www.vfs-uk-th.com/additionalservice.html#5 I'm not sure how much it cost, suspect it's not too much, certainly less that a return trip anyway.
samsingsong Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 My wife applied for her settlement visa on Friday (20 Jan 2012). VFS charged her 475 Baht to return the passport / documents by courier to our home in Pattaya.
Johnniey Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 My wife applied for a visitors visa last week and the fee to send it back to Khon Kaen is 200 baht. There is also a 75 baht charge for an SMS telling her when it is ready.
7by7 Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 See Courier Service Topic title amended to include country.
rawhod Posted January 24, 2012 Posted January 24, 2012 They do a courier service to Pioneer Services Chiang Mai (near the airport) for about 350 Baht.
andyamstrad Posted January 24, 2012 Author Posted January 24, 2012 (edited) Thanks for all your great input and 7by7 for the Courier link. I will tell her to apply for the Courier Service and have it returned to Khon Kaen. @Johniey do you know where in Khon Kaen she would pick up the passport? Thanks all Edited January 24, 2012 by andyamstrad
