Koh Phagnan

Featured Replies

What's the best way to get to koh phagnan from fishermans village in Samui for a day trip. What all to do? Is there a beach where we can chill or is it all private beaches?

Thanks in advance.

to get to koh phagnan either go to mae nam to lomprayha catarmaran terminal, this takes you to tongsala(no beach) 0r go to banrak and take hadrin queen ferry to hadrin beach where full moon parties take place, plenty of shops, cafe's and i nice quiet beach.the ferry takes 45 mins. and costs about 200 baht each way.hope this helps.

Or the Seatran from the main pier in Bangrak. 8am start and then 4.30pm back. Free pick up from many hotels and transfer to/from the boat.

Is the ferry still running from Maenam to Thong Nai Pan?

#4 no

#2 not quiet beach, quite the opposite, Had Rinn that is after 12:00 till night time

#9 #9 #Nii~iine, ups

KPG is actually not the place you go for a day on a nice beach, it is the place you go to look around in a day or stay on a nice beach at least a few days up to many years.

Nice beaches this month and that will change in other months IMHO Tong Nai Pan, Had Khuat, Had Sadeth, Mae Hat and Sri Thanu

If you want to have a day trip to KPG and stay a few hours to chill on a beach, you could get the Haad Rin Queen boat from Banrak and go from the Haad Rin pier to Leela Beach (Haad Sarikantang), still a wonderful and old style white sand beach with no jetski, noise and still some old hippie ;-) (15 minutes walk or 5 minutes tuk tuk)

Besides Haad Rin, any other places I should check out while at Koh PAngnan?

Is the ferry still running from Maenam to Thong Nai Pan?

Just started again this week.

Besides Haad Rin, any other places I should check out while at Koh PAngnan?

In one day? You could take a taxi boat fron the Haad Rin pier and go to Haad Yuan and HaadTien, 15 minutes boat and 2 more beautiful beaches.

Don't forget, also the main Haad Rin beanch (East side), although a bit wavy now, is a beautiful beach.

Is the ferry still running from Maenam to Thong Nai Pan?

Yes, just started again a few days ago.

250 baht to Had Rin, 350 all the way.

Departs fra Maenam daily at 12 noon.

If you are looking for a good beach and the adventure of tropical fish, you may try Lomprayah to Koh Nanguan (northern tip of Koh Tao). Departs (Maenam) 8 am and returns about 4.30 pm. Trip include lunch buffet (excellent) and snorkling equipment. Lomparyah has a free pick-up/return bus service from/to your hotel/bungalow. Price between 1500 and 2000 baht, depending on special offers.

Best way - private speedboat charter see liam at samui boat charter which is in the village. No such thing as a private beach in Thailand.

Was there yesterday, went by ferry and once there rented out a scooter. Did check out a couple of beaches but found Haad Rin the best out of them to chill aswell to swim in.

Thanks guys.
