Air Asia Starts Surat-Kl Flights

AirAsia Bhd today commenced its first flight from Kuala Lumpur to Surat Thani, making it the budget airline's sixth Thai destination after Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Hat Yai, Krabi and Phuket.

The Kuala Lumpur-Surat Thani service is available thrice weekly on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

To celebrate the inaugural flight, AirAsia is offering an all-in-fare from RM99 one-way via its website. The booking period is from Feb 7 to 12 for the travel period from Feb 14 to April 30 this year.

No , just stating that they have 7 not 6 destinations in Thailand, as they forgot to mention Nakhon Si.

DSon't worry I misread the post, it said sixth destination after BKK. My bad.

Surat Thani is the 6th Thai destination they fly from KUALA LUMPUR as this report of a Malaysian daily paper is about flights to Thailand from KUALA LUMPUR. and no, they do not fly NST - KUL.

domestically they of course serve many more, such as Udon, Ubon, Narathiwat, C Rai etc..... but that was not the topic

Flew KL- Surat in April. Immigration was a pain, very slow, but a/c buses to Na Thon, Samui waiting outside for B350 including ferry.
