Unable To Refresh My Favourite Website

Featured Replies

I have brought this subject up before but unfortunately, I still cannot refresh one of my favourite websites.

Here is my story:

About two months ago, I have probems accessing the internet. A true technician visited my house and corrected the problem. I understand it was a problem with the wireless modem.

Before the above problem occurred, I was able to access www.iii.co.uk and there was no problem in refreshing the page.

I can still access the website but cannot refresh the page having tried clearing the cache and using Crtl f5.

If I change to MyExpat network, a UK provider, I have no problems refreshing the page.

Obviously therefore something to to with True, Just guessing, maybe the wireless modem when it was last configured.

Any experts out there that may be able to suggest something.

Regards

ive never heard of a problem like this. So what happens when you try to refresh it??

Try using the ip i.e. http://213.178.144.194

It's possible it's a dns lookup issue.

You can also try to tracert (windows) to the web site, open a cmd window and type:

tracert -d 213.178.144.194

and see what you get.

Last test, open a cmd window and type:

telnet 213.178.144.194 80

and see if you get a connection.

type exit or quit a couple of times to exit, you should see an output of html code.

I have True cable using true proxy and I have no problem with that site. They do try and send pop-ups though
