Google Dns Blocking Access To Itunes Store

Featured Replies

Today I tried to access the Itunes store at couldn't connect using wifi, at first I thought maybe a problem with connection the firewall then I decided to try on my Iphone and couldnt either so I tried on my Iphone using 3G and had no problems.

I was in the process of phoning True to see if they block it then it occurs to me to change my DNS which I have set manually on both PC and Iphone at 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 and changed to to my router default and secondary 208.67.222.222 and he presto as soon as I did that Itunes connected no problem.

Do you think maybe google upto some dirty tricks? This happened to anyone else who is using Google servers for DNS

I'm on True, using 8.8.8.8 and can browse the iTunes store using Google Chrome, and access it using iTunes.

maybe a port conflict with another app? my PC on wieniedooze seven did the same thing from time to time... a restart cleared it every time. My Macs have never had the same issue...

You can also open a cmd window in administrator mode and use:

ipconfig /flushdns

Close and reopen the browser, too.

Having the very same issue here. Itunes store is not working from two laptops, two different ipads and an iphone. Using True-connect and google dns servers. Works with 3BB and 3G/edge though.
