Hi, i am looking for a personal recommendation for a lounge ( business class style ) to use at swampy airport - international.

I will need a website, and would like to pay for it in advance. i dont have any airline points to use.

If it is close to the thai air (bkk to london ) gate - where ever that is - that would be ideal.

any suggestions please

Louis Tavern and CIP are names I've seen around (althouh Louis Tavern may have been at Don Muang)

Try Googling them, or just generally lounges at swampy.

There is one in concourse G but I don't know the name or cost.

I can't recommend any though as I've never used them.

Louis Tavern and CIP are one in the same, as far as I am aware these are the only lounges you can pay to enter. There are 3 or 4 of of them on variousconcourses. Don't expect too much, they have beer, very limited food, no toilets, showers or smoking areas. I used to use them before I attained ROP Gold, they are better than sitting on the concourses though I guess. I had an annual pass through my work and just used to take a few beers down to the smoking room, then go back and restock...

Correct.

Usless you have a Starr Alliance Gold, you can't use THAI.

There is a free King Power lounge for members. Pay 500 bagt to be an instant member (counter before imigration) valid 1 year. However there is only 1 lounge, poorly located, no alcohol (not even beer). I have never seen farang in there, so i wonder if membership is only limited to Thai's or not. Wifi and internet terminal available.

Where is that? I'm a member and have never heard of it.

Edit: Google is my friend http://www.360cities.net/image/king-power-lounge-suvarnbhumi-international-airport-bangkok#-199.07,3.02,71.9 handy if you leave from concourse A but my flights are usually out of F or G at the other end of the airport.

Typically those eligible for entry into the Thai Airways Royal Silk lounges can bring one guest. IF, when I am entering the lounge, the matrons are giving someone a hard time challenging their credentials, and they are not getting all DYKWIA, I offer to bring them in as my guest.

This page has most of the details (location, entry requirements, etc.) re: TG lounges at BKK: http://www.thaiairways.com/thai-services/on-the-ground/en/suvarnabhumi.htm

I think you can buy a day-pass for one of the CIP lounges but I could not find any details other than the via the Priority Pass program.

Varies randomly. As the 'host' airline you would think they would have a dedicated area, but as they are too cheap to pay the airside fees they normally end up at the end of a 15 minute bus journey in the middle of nowhere (which then of course takes an additional 15 minutes taxiing so they never leave on time).

Unfortunately my company have a deal with them so I have no choice, if I did they would be very near the bottom of my list.
