There is a thread on here somewhere on the Malaysian eateries (plural, as in 2), but is it quite out of date and googling the places mentions make me believe they are shut. I'm not really into the southern thai borderesque malaysian style food; and I really want Rendang. Of course, I could cook it myself but it would not be good to eat for a few days. Any ideas?

Well, my friend; you fail to mention your '10-20' (location), however; if near Pattaya, you should try "Bali-Breeze Restaurant" on the new 2nd Road in Jomtien, they do a pretty fair Rendang there, as well as complete Rijst-Tafel !!!!

I know that Hankering Feeling and I satisfy it thus.

Very very good !

Cheers,

I always associated malaysian food with the fabulous indian street restaurants in Penang...
