N-Acetylcystein Nac

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'm looking to buy NAC ( N-Acetylcysteine) as a food supplement. In the states, one can get 100 capsules of 600 mg for around 8,- US$.

Here, I've, only seen tablets, 10 x 600 mg for 215,- Baht the cheapes. That's about 10 times as much money.

Does anyone know, where to buy cheap, preferably a place in Pattaya?

Since I will leave Thailand soon, I don't want to order in the states and wait a few weeks for the shipping.

I'll not go back to the West in the near future, so I'd really like to buy here.

Thanks

All my american friends complain over the cost here, so i think you have to get use to it.

wow interesting nutritional supplement. We use it here IV as an antidote for panadol overdose, to protect kidneys from radioactive isotrope and to increase the effects of GTN, Glyceryl trinitrate.

Researchers at the University of Virginia reported in 2007 study using very large doses in a mouse model that acetylcysteine, which is found in many bodybuilding supplements, could potentially cause damage to the heart and lungs.[24] They found that acetylcysteine was metabolized to S-nitroso-N-acetylcysteine (SNOAC), which increased blood pressure in the lungs and right ventricle of the heart (pulmonary artery hypertension) in mice treated with acetylcysteine

You can also buy it in packet form called Fluimucil, either 200mg or 400mg per packet, I think. But it's flavoured. I think it's several hundred baht for a box of 30 sachets. Technically it requires a prescription but still being sold off the shelf at most pharmacies. You'll need to check out customs issues and prescription requirements for your own country.

Yeah Thanks.

I know they have products like that, but besides being flavoured and mixed with stuff I don't want, it's also much more expensive compared to 100 capsules of 600 mg for 7,- US$ {210 Baht}
