Kilgore Trout Posted March 7, 2012 Posted March 7, 2012 No, some words you can never use in anything other than a negative racist manner whatever the context, such as the "N" word, therefore the word itself is negative, not neutral. "Farang" is not the same as it can be used in a negative or positive way depending on context, therefore the word itself is neural. I'm sure many black people who use the word casually whether in rap music or daily conversation would argue with you if you called them racist, seems rather silly really; how can a black person be racist towards another black person? Keep tryin, Jibby!

I'm sure many black people who use the word casually whether in rap music or daily conversation would argue with you if you called them racist, Most do not use it still. Those who do, use it precisely BECAUSE of it's negative racist connotations, even if they are not actually trying to be racist with each other. You can't seriously be trying to say that the "n" word is not a racist word. Edited March 7, 2012 by madjbs
2unique Posted March 7, 2012 Author Posted March 7, 2012 I think your posts would be better appreciated in the "sick to be called farang" topic where the lively discussion of Asian v Oriental is quite riveting.
soundman Posted March 7, 2012 Posted March 7, 2012 Enough you two. Please take it to PM rather than derailing the topic in public. Back to the topic at hand thank-you.
Kananga Posted March 7, 2012 Posted March 7, 2012 I was finding it rather amusing. Certainly more interesting than the topic at hand.
Payboy Posted March 7, 2012 Posted March 7, 2012 Everyone's upset to be called farang, but no one objects to burglar?
