Weekly Studio Rate?

Featured Replies

HI everyone - I am gonna be coming to Phuket at the beginning of Sept for 3 weeks and have been browsing the net for weekly rate studios; (got to have a kitchen)

I haven't done loads of research but have contacted a couple of places and this is the best that I have come up with so far:

http://www.phuket.net/rentals/profile/apartment-11099/

I want be in Patong and just want to know if this is a fair rate. I would hate to get there and then find out that the estate agents have just jacked up the rate hugely when in reality I could have got it for cheaper at the front desk.

Would appreciate any feedback..

Cheers

Simon

To me 2000 baht a night, just for accomodation, is expensive. I'd be wanting my room cleaned and a brekkie thrown in for that, but, there again, I would go for hotels, rather than this self-catering mularkey.

In my opinion, you can do better once you get here.

frankyj... Sept is hardly high season here. Best advise - get a nice hotel room for 2-3 days and suss out longer-term accoms when you arrive. You can probably get 2-2.5 weeks in a really nice studio for about half the price you are being quoted if you do it after you arrive. If you are the type who feels better pre-booking try here nearer to your arrival.

This is a nice 1 bedroom apartment where i usually stay which has all the facitlities you need and cheaper than the apartment you posted. Short term stay you really aren't going to find anything that cheap in terms of apartments ,unless you stay in a budget hotel room around bangla which usually go for around 800 baht a night.

R u kidding me? With that price you can even have a really nice house.

I'm hijacking this thread, I will be coming down to phuket next week and I'm also looking for an apartment to rent for 2 months. Would like to be in the Kata beach area. Best I found was on Thaivisa classifieds. 1 bedroom apt with a place to cook and a small living room, cable TV and wifi for 10k per month.

To the OP, like another post has said, check in a cheap hotel and have a little look around.
