Footy Sponsorship - In Thailand

Just enjoyed this on InpattayaNow, about shirt sponsorship (and Chang and Everton):

Beer and football, or beer and pretty much any sport, except darts and perhaps peeing yourself, are pretty much incompatible in my book, much as I love both pursuits (beer and sport that is; not darts and p*ssing myself).

In fact, on a football tour to Amsterdam a few years ago (90% booze, 10% football 100% fun) I miscued a crucial intervention at 9am, having gone to bed at 7am, and fell flat on my face in the mud as the ball sailed past me into the net.

Not a glorious advert for multi-tasking, I have to say, nor for the magical effect a skinful can have on your sporting skills.

Nonetheless, a couple of years ago, I was pleased to wake to the news that Chang, my favourite Thai beer, had done a shirt sponsorship with my favourite football team in the UK, Everton, although you wouldn’t believe it, looking at Chang’s adverts here (see main generic football photo).
