Baits

Featured Replies

I like to make this bait myself when it is not available.

Here is a great demonstration by a Thai angler:

When I made mine I would mix coconut milk, water, bread and sometimes lam in a big bowl. I would then walk on it until it turned like thick mud.

HI,

NIce vid just more curious about how they really make it. I have my way to make it just curious what they put in it. I must say i use syrofoam instead of cut up parts of the float. I think its better for hooking.

many varied recipies but most common is bread, sugar and coconut milk. Sometimes flavour like pandan. I use the styrofoam balls too but a piece of float may be easier. The styrofoam is always coming off. The bread is put through a massive machine. You can use a blender.

I use my feet (french style) it works great. Just clean my feet after i did the job. I see people putting on plastic bags and such but that does not work good. The styrofoam balls work better when you set the hook. The float piece is better if you want it to stick on better.

yes used my feet too. The coconut oil would take the colours off plastic bags. Dyes the bait a funny colour and probably smells bad to the fish.
