Koh Samui To Surat Thani Train Station

Hi, I have to get to surat thani train station from donsak pier. I live on samui and will be taking a train on the night of the 10th. The last ferry leaves samui around 6 pm I think. My train is not until 11pm. Does anyone know the best way to get to the surat thani train station from donsak pier. I know it is far and i don't want to get gouged. I need some sort of public transportation. thanks.

You can get a combo ticket or you can just get a minibus from the pier to the city and a tuktuk / songthaew from there to the station.

Be aware the trains often run late and the station is pretty basic - take a good book!

I couldn't get a combo ticket when I bought the train ticket (can't remember) why. Can I get a combo or transfer from the ferry company? That reminds me, which ferry is the best to take. I think there are two locations: Nathon and south of Nathon. Thank you.

Yes combo ferry and bus, not combo train and bus. We always go from Nathon, either Seatran or Lomprayah. Go into any travel agent they will do for you.

As they mentioned before, buy a combo ticket ferry / bus to Suratthani. From there just catch a TukTuk to the railway station. All in post # 4.
