Restrictions When Out And About.........

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Visiting in August and would welcome some guidance on what is "out of bounds" when taking photos out and about in Bangkok. Naturally I will excercise a degree of common sense but what are the restrictions that an "out of towner" wouldn't necessarily know about.

In London, we still have some private security officials trying to impose their misunderstanding of Terrorism Laws in relation to photographers (fortunately, the police have got their act together in this), you have to have an awareness of public and private land (not always obvious), tripods not permitted in some places (for example, Covent Garden). You get the idea.

Thanks,

Gary

I do not believe Thailand has such paranoia,

but others will no doubt add comments.

Keep the camera out of areas where people are involved with immoral or illegal activities.

(Note: The entire City of Pattaya is off limits.)
