Why more retirees in Thailand are switching to long-term health insurance
Then for Americans, there's consideration of how much Medicare supplemental insurance to get. It can get costly with all the different options and then whether you will ever use it. But some of the supplemental is well worth it for long-term care. Conundrum. -

Recent trip to UK with Qatar air- A very sad, heartbreaking visit.
It is very sad to hear what is happening to the once Great Britain. But this is also happening to the Netherlands but there is hope as Wilders wants to make the Netherlands great again: https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2025/06/05/make-the-netherlands-great-again-trump-white-house-backs-geert-wilders-ahead-of-snap-elections/ -

Australian Aged Pension
1. Right to reside permanently in Australia (ie Australian citizen for most people) 2. Australian accommodation (owner occupier of property or long term renter) 3. Australian family (spouse or children under 18 living in Australia) 4. Australian economic interests such as reasonable amount of money in an Australian bank account. Explained in a lot more detail at the link KH provided. Proposal is that if you’re in Australia for at least 45 days of the tax year and if you satisfy at least 2 of the 4 factors then you’re a tax resident. It’s even easier than that - you have to be present in Australia for less than 45 days for 3 consecutive years to lose tax residency. All just a proposal, no legislation yet passed, or I think even presented to Parliament. -

Health Covid Cases Spike in Thailand: 28,000 New Cases in Just Two Days
I think it works both ways, to varying degrees... But the higher quality masks certainly do help protect the wearer... if worn/fit properly to achieve an airtight seal on the face and consistently. On the issue you raised above of the mask wearer protecting those around them: N95 respirator gets top billing in stopping SARS-CoV-2 viral leakage into the air June 4, 2024 "Researchers who compared the ability of cloth and surgical masks and KN95 and N95 respirators to impede SARS-CoV-2 leakage into the environment show that the "duckbill" N95 won handily, stopping 98% of the virus that causes COVID-19. ... N95s as standard of care in healthcare settings All masks and respirators reduced exhaled virus at least 70%, but the duckbill N95 reduced SARS-CoV-2 load 98% (95% confidence interval [CI], 97% to 99%) and performed significantly better than cloth or surgical masks or KN95s. Cloth masks impeded more virus than surgical masks and KN95s. ... Senior author Don Milton, MD, DrPH, professor of environmental health at the UMD School of Public Health, credits the N95's tight seal, powerful filter, and large air space for its success in blocking viral passage. "Our research shows definitively why it's so important to have non-pharmaceutical responses like wearing masks, and why we need studies like this to illuminate which masks are most effective," he said in a UMD news release. Uneducated, ill-informed, ignorant, or lying doctors at the "best" hospital?
When was the last time she had a tetanus jab? Jaw pain could be many things including stress. Throat pain is indeed not a 1st symptom. Why was it determined not to give her a tetanus jab in the 1st place? 10 days isn't too early to become symptomatic. It's around the norm. Being that you seem to be in some sort of a panic why are you wasting what could be valuable time appealing for advice on here and not seeking a second opinion? It's interesting you diss the doctor and talk about the internet but the briefest of searches doesn't support your stance of having superior knowledge than the doctor.
