One thing for sure if anybody on this planet was a candidate for HIV it would be I.

I get tested on a regular basis, and utterly refuse a rubber, the only thing I am in Thailand for is the ladies. I am the wrong side of 65 now (just) but still in good shape, whack my heart up to 150 each and every day for half hour or so at the gym, keep myself clean and informed. I have"been at it" throughout India for years and here in Thailand for 5 or so years, sometimes twice a day. I do not accept HIV is easily catchable,I must have had partners who were HIV,but the only thing that I caught was genital warts which I had burnt out.

I do not want lecturing or advising on anything, have a good income and intend to enjoy sex for all its worth. So there,I am circumcised,so probably helps. If,and I repeat if I do become infected I will cease forthwith or revert to a rubber

Well,we all feel a lot safer now.Over 65 and still irresponsible. What about the women you may pass it onto between tests.

Clean as a whistle (again),as of this day nothing ,nothing, nothing,no clap, pox ,stds,,hiv nothing perhaps Ill wake up from the dream and its all rotted away.....cannot help think there is some infected cow out there awaiting me though, and pray tell what has age got to do with anything?you can go on feeling safe too,not that you personally will have anything to worry about Edited by 23962323

Genital warts are usually representative of a highly contagious sexually transmitted disease, usually HPV. So you are infecting your partners - HPV is a leading cause of cervical cancer - and hardly "clean as a whistle". rolleyes.gif

Genital warts, or more accurately the HPV virus which causes them, most definitely do cause cancer of the cervix in women.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMH0001889/

A vaccine against HPV for women was recently developed for this very reason and there is discussion of making it part of the Thai child immunization schedule. Cervical cancer is a significant cause of death in women in Thailand. The vaccine has to be given before HPV is contacted and is thus advised for girls around age 12.

Since you have been with the same partner for a long time and not using condoms, this woman almost certainly has HPV and is thus at above average risk of cervical cancer. She needs to get annual pap smears, it could save her life.

As for "others", you are indeed exposing them to risk by not using condoms. A risk they are unaware of.

90% of HPV infections are cleared by the immune system within a year of infection.

My sources say 24 months, and that data is from a study in the US women who were students at a private college, i.e. from a very affluent and health population whose immune systems are not subject to much stress. It may not be fully applicable in less affluent populations.

In any case, some women will clear the infection and some will not. those who do not are at increased risk of cervical cancer. Women who repeatedly reinfect will likewise be more at risk.

Cervical cancer is the #1 most common cancer in women in Thailand and directly linked to the high prevalence of HPV in this population. Which is why the Ministry of Public Helasth is seeking to introduce the vaccine.

Yes, every man that got infected by HIV did 10.000 different woman on an average.

Not bad, they are heaps & shoulders above me.

Thinking about it, and since i'm gonna die anyway, it looks like it's worth it,

but, -> how do they afford 10.000 shags with 10.000 different woman ??blink.png

Not up to 10 0000 shags yet, least I don't think so,not counting, usually it is the women that do not look at me any more that I know something went on previously, yeah it does get expensive, but at least it saves my liver from too much boozing.

On the subject of HIV . A guy who was on a holiday in BKK asked me recently what are the first symptoms that you get and how long after sexual contact without a condom that you would consider getting a blood test
