Sophisticated new Credit Card scam targets credit card owners

This is a new scam and one for all to watch.

Hundreds of credit card owners are being duped into compromising their details in a sophisticated new scam, UK’s Payments Council has warned.

The Telegraph reports that nearly $1.2 million (£750,000) was lost to the scam in the first four months.

Detective Chief Inspector Paul Barnard of the UK police told the Guardian that customers should contact the bank immediately after they realise they have been targeted.

"If you become a victim of this type of crime, you should crawl into the nearest hole and die of shame for being such a freakin idiot", he was quoted as saying.

If you fall for this you deserve to lose your money,some people are to dumb for words,how do they manage to master breathing in and out.?

if you fall for this you probably dont have the aptitude to own a card

Many people who you would think would know better get caught up in financial scams.

and because they now occur much more frequently there is even more reason

to be extra vigilant and double check every proposition whistling.gif

Many people who you would think would know better get caught up in financial scams.

That just means I thought they were more intelligent than they really are.

Sophisticated?

They 'phone you and ask for your PIN number and then ask you to give your card to someone.

Hardly sophisticated.

Really, it suprising that people would fall for that.
