The Huawei Ascend D-Quad looks pretty amazing. The XL version has a 2500 mAh battery while the standard version has an 1800 mAh battery. Not sure about pricing or availability. If it matches the published specs this could be a real gem?

Thank's for the info very interesting .

On contract here in the UK it's £100 sign up for 18months the quad version is coming later so the price of 4910baht for a unlocked phone sounds good to me the review of this phone on cnet is good for a budget phone so i will be buying one my next trip to Thailand

You are right my mistake i am still thinking that buying the phone in thailand is a good idea as at the moment you can only get it from vodaphone and of course it's locked to there network if it comes on the open market here i would buy it here in the UK .

E-Bay has them unlocked £147
