I Bought a new 3.0 4x4 hilux in 2008

All was fine until last year when i took it for a 50,000 km service

The next day after the service the selection into first gear was not smooth ,it felt like it clunked like when the clutch is not fully pressed down , this happened changing from first to second but the rest of the gears are fine

Anyway i went back next day and they spent a few hours with it and say they will fix it under warranty i have no idea what it is but from what the mechanic says i believe are clutch plates ?

After picking it up the clutch was definately new and felt great for a day or 2 , still got the same notchy 1st/2nd gears which when it gets warm seems to be better ,

My concern now after a few months is a shudder when pulling away when doing any hill start ,

I asked if the clutch needs adjusting but Toyota say no problem i cant find anything wrong

Can anyone let me know what this could be as i have returned numerous times and fed up with the Toyota mechanics who now say its just a hilux problem they all do it , had my brother in-law take it in and to be honest all the thais i know are very easy and too quick to say Mai pen Rai only little problem its ok.

Thanks

Did they change the clutch master cylinder fluid at service ?. If they did they might not have bleed it properly and you have air in the system. Sorry l don't know if your ride is cable or hydraulic. smile.png

If you were a doctor you should know it's hydraulic on a 2008 vigo
