BigCommerce can be translated (by using custom programming) to translate the online store to other languages. Although the translation must be in addition to the base code provided by BigCommerce.

Here in Thailand, Joomla is the most commonly used ecommerce portal in use, and for extremely customised need people do end up building their own-customised portals. (i did one like that for an online apparel store , worked with paypal+CC payment system and TH<>EN support).

Technically what you need is possible, but i doubt you will get a local (thai) resource easily.

You can PM me if you have any more specific questions.

Cheers !

Thanks gtm2k. Thought there'd be more response. Dont know much about the coding side of things - ie how you code on top of something like BigCommerce. I like BigCommerce because it integrated with facebook and has the option to upload to Ebay. I think it has alot of features that would be very expensive to build into ones own portal.

What I need is a way to get facebook shoppers who are fairly computer illiterate to buy from a commerce site with simple Thai instructions, and that can cater for ATM bank transfers as well as CC and PayPal.

Asking too much??

I feel what you are looking to do - can be mostly achieved with an e-commerce enabled website.. i feel the ebay integration is a bit too much, i have never seen anyone doing this. Practically - it results in maintenance of two online systems - not advisable.

But the FB integration is pretty standard these days - for folks to talk about what they like directly onto their FB accounts. Its even more easier to manage users as they use the FB login details to register on your website.

Maybe if you could share the link of your site over PM please ?

Cheers !
