Time for a party....

He's Gone!!!

frimpong.jpg

Gerrard's legacy will out live most premier league footballers of our generation including Frimpong and Anderson. No one will remember or give a toss how many underserved medals Anderson won, but they will remember how great a footballer Stevie Gerrard was for generations to come! thumbsup.gif

Anderson never slipped up Bob when he scored a penalty to win the Champion League medal he has,but agreed Gerrard will be much better remembered as a great footballer who never won a league championship.

Frimpong was taking the mickey just like i am. tongue.png

Jasus Bob, calm down calm down....

Sense of humour failure, one thinks. Or, touchy subject.

Depends on how you interpret my post there Rus. I'm as calm as a double drop valium morning lazing on maenam beach, there was no emotion attached. I understand the joke, it has been doing the rounds for a couple of years now, I just making a point that is all. wai.gif.pagespeed.ce.ptXUXgG4cAPURFBv7bp

Man Utd XI: De Gea, Valencia, Jones, Rojo, Shaw; Blind, Januzaj, Di Maria, Rooney; Van Persie, Falcao.

Leicester XI: Schwarzer, Simpson, Wasilewski, Morgan, De Laet; Drinkwater, King, Schlupp; Vardy, Kramaric, Ulloa.

Looks like he has gone straight back to a 5-3-2 but that 5 up front is a bit special on there day no steel in there against a very hard working team .....Rooney centre stage.

Isn't Fellaini vital to your long ball game, Ed?

Why is he not playing then?

Looked like that was entirely the game plan last night. long ball hoofed up to the big tall bloke and see what happens.

Considering the embarrassment of riches in his squad van Gaal should start being asked a lot of questions.

Too many square pegs for round holes on that squad, particularly in attack. A collection of individuals in attack that just don't blend.

RVP-seen better days.

Rooney-seen better days.

Falcao-a shadow of what he was.

I'd wager you'd be lucky to fetch $50mil for the three of them on current form.

LVG still with a lot of work to do.

read this morning that rooney hasn't had a shot on target in the past five games. and united looked pretty clueless and planless until he put fellaini on up front and went all tony pulis. not particularly pretty given the money he spent.

Add to this the huge advantage of no european and cap one fixtures! Come to think of it, van Gaal's complaining about his fixture build up is probably the most limp excuse of the season. For example, as i've mentioned before, we'll play our 41st game on tuesday.

Look at the players he has available and i would have thought that by this stage of the season United fans will be finding the quality of football on display completely unacceptable, despite remaining in fourth position

United was poor yesterday , they could not find a venom at every attack . If they are playing like this ( they play like this in most part of the season) to May , they have no chance to be in the third or fourth place . And need a lot of luck to win the FA . I really like Van Gaal , he is trying his best to find right first eleven . Was surprised to See Mata on the bench . Was he injured ? Saw the fixtures , United having many tough matches ahead .

haha. martin edwards is very glad there weren't camera phones around in his day.

I was working at Mottram at the time, had to sign a confidentiality paper not to speak of said event/s to the media. Signed quite a few of those while working there.

Still not happening for United. Seeing the team sheets last night with West Ham having 2 second choice centre backs I thought finally the goals might flow.

VP and Falcao together is just not working .Falcao is a shadow of what he was, his body language is one of no confidence despite him working hard. 2 years back he would have buried that one on one. I think we have seen the best of VP and the difference in pace of the West Ham strikers against United's was obvious.

While United results show they are harder to beat the goals are just not coming from the specialists.

What to do ? If I was LVG I would be tempted to play Wilson and partner him with either VP or Falcao which adds pace. Either Rooney or Mata have to be further up the pitch. Rooney played almost a defensive role last night and he is getting more and more frustrated.Carrick is a huge loss.

For years we were blessed with pace out wide and I really don't like this current formation,it might work defensively but going forward its obviously not working.

Time is running out to cement a place in the top 4.Shots on target are in single digits each week, simply not good enough.

LVG's assessment at full time was honest. i guarantee he never felt it would be this hard when you see the talent there but its not a functioning team

You should play Rooney up front.....question is who plays off of him.

I definitely think Wilson should be getting more game time. Looks a great prospect.

What on earth has happened to Januzaj?! He looked a terrific prospect until LVG rocked up. Perhaps another missing cog that adds to the lopsided team set up.

Interestingly, at this stage of the season Moyes had as many wins without the influx of 150m worth of quality players.

Should he have been given more time!! biggrin.png

I'll say it then......what a load of <deleted> shiters that was!! facepalm.giffacepalm.gif

Send Falcao back now and stop wasting more time play Wilson who needs games play Rooney or RVP with him.

Play with wingers which means a proper 4-4-2 Di Maria is top draw but is now being made to look average ....Januzaj needs to be kept on the wing and start running at and past people Valencia the same, play with 2 full backs until the end of the season and 2 wingers.

Attack more in training..... <deleted> off this 3-5-2 now Van Gaal or you will not last the season out.

People have said we need a strong midfielder which is true but more and more i see we need pace up front again......truth be told we miss Carrick very badly when he is out we are struggling

1 world class midfielder who has bottle and pace

1 world class forward/winger who has pace and strength.

1 world class defender who can manage the rest of the youngsters.

I was unable to watch City but United was available. I'd have to say that was the most unconvincing 3-1 victory I've ever seen. No sense in repeating what Red had to say.

Now I begin to think , Without Alex Ferguson , United would still be waiting for the Premiership title since 1967 .

The premier league only started 1992 mate, I think we would have won the league a few times with different managers but we would have been no where near as successful as we have been under sir Alex.

Jelly I thought the 2nd half we was better but by then we had gone back to a 442, but was a very average performance by us.
