People keep posting, Thailand expensive, but I'm not seeing it!
30 baht for the lot is a complete LIE. Unless they were almost rotten. The pineapple would cost you that or more just by itself. 4 tomatoes would be another 20 baht minimum. And the bell peppers would be an added 40 baht. -

Unless people start approaching me and spitting beer in my face I say drink up! The thing is Pot smoke REEKS! You can smell if from a 100 feet away and it is disgusting and pungent. It seems pot makes pot heads so apathetic and lazy they don't care about the comfort of other people. Just want to get high and feel the way they want to feel without regard for others. Hey, I used to smoke loads of the stuff. It did me NO GOOD whatever. Worthless drug that I ultimately quit because I started getting paranoid and nervous as hell after I smoked a bong hit or two of the CA sens bud. -

Cambodia Marks 50 Years Since Khmer Rouge Terror Began
Once in Cambodia, I encountered an old man who chilled me to the core, a thousand-yard stare, and no reason but complicity for still being alive. I had rented a bike in Phnom Penh years ago, and sat at a restaurant across from my hotel the next morning watching as a couple guys came with a key and drove it away from the hotel parking. A friend and I followed and watched them drive it behind the shop I rented from. It was just a couple of blocks away When we walked into the shop from the front and asked what was going on, they denied they had the bike until we walked around back, and there it was. A very tense set of conversations ensued. There was a skinny old man in a sarong on a sleeping platform in the middle of the shop with a shaved head who barked instructions and glared daggers at us as they gave my passport back, The dude was evil incarnate. I can still picture him nearly 20 years later, -

Accident School Minibus Overturns in Lopburi, Sending 21 to Hospital
Pictures courtesy of Matichon. A school minibus carrying 20 students overturned in Lopburi province on morning of 22 May, leaving 21 individuals with thankfully only minor injuries and shock. The crash occurred at approximately0 7:30 on Route 2089 (Tha Manow – Sahamuang Thong Junction) in Moo 2, Tha Manow subdistrict, Chai Badan district. Witnesses alerted emergency services after the Toyota minivan, painted blue and registered in Lopburi, struck the central reservation before rolling on its side and sliding along the road.. Emergency responders from a local rescue foundation quickly arrived at the scene and transported all 21 occupants, 20 students and the driver,to Chai Badan Hospital. Most of the injured were classified as “green cases,” indicating that they suffered minor injuries or were primarily in shock. The hospital is examining and assessing the full extent of injuries. Initial investigations suggest the driver lost control of the vehicle prior to the crash, struck and crossed the central reservation, taking down one pole, but was thankfully avoided by overcoming trsffic. Authorities are continuing their inquiries into the cause of the crash. The incident has raised concerns over the safety standards of school transport services in the region. Did the wheels start to fall off Trump's wagon last night?
Last night at midnight, the S&P500 suddenly dropped sharply (see 15-minute chart). The daily session closed down 1.5%. This coincided with the announcement of a weak 20-year bond auction (i.e. few wanted to buy the US's debt). There are also heightened concerns about the burgeoning US government debt and potential fiscal imbalances. It will be interesting to see where the market is in a week's time.
