[Myanmar] Coke To Enter Burma For First Time In 60 Years

The Coca-Cola Co plans to start selling its drinks in Burma for the first time in 60 years, following the US government’s decision to suspend investment sanctions on the country. Burma, Cuba and North Korea are the only three countries where Coca-Cola doesn’t do business. The world’s biggest soft-drink maker said on Thursday it will start doing business in the country as soon as the US government issues a license allowing American companies to make such investments. The company also said it is donating US $3 million to support job creation for women in the country.—AP
