Blood Pressure Test. Where?

Featured Replies

Where is the mont convenient place to occasionally check my blood pressure? Do they do it in pharmacies here? I don't need anything else, just my BP.

How much is a monitor? I just have to check it a couple times a week or so for a month and don't want the hassle of a clinic or hospital.

if you are worrying about the cost of a bp monitor you shouldnt be in los.

Seriously? He asked how much one was, nothing about affording it. I would probably ask too to get a ballpark figure if I was looking for one. To answer his question, my Omron cost around 1600 Baht.

Go to any large shopping mall , (Central, Mega, The Mall etc etc etc and inside most of the pharmacies (except maybe for Boots and Watsons) there are blood pressure monitors that you can use for free).

Now, that said, you can also go to a clinic and have it checked properly (using that Spiggy thing, I can never remember what it's called) for around B100. If that doesn't do it for you, then get yourself to a hospital and they will do exactly the same thing as the previously mentioned places, and also charge you about B800 for doing it.

In Thailand any visit to a doctor at a government hospital, be it a dentist or eye doctor, results in both weight and blood pressure being measured. A doctors visit at a government hospital costs something like 50 baht.

If you ask a nurse politely she will probably measure it for free.

ricklev what has sparked this off? is it that you dont feel well,if thats the case you need to go and get a full check up.dont do what i done,oh its only a bit of tension,4years later a new heart valve and a double by-pass.post your symptoms so maybe someone here can give you some advice.
