I have

Is TM7 the correct form?

What time do they shuffle off to lunch? Is it 12-1 or 1-2pm?

For an extension you must show either 40,000 baht a month income OR 400,000 baht in a bank account in Thailand, money being there for at least 2 months requires bank book and letter from bank.

Forgive Mario it might be a not enough coffee problem.

You use the TM7 form like all other extensions do. The documents and wife mentioned all look correct but you will need more to cancel your extension (IE: letter showing the date that your job ends equal to the date you apply or later).

Edit: Office hour: Mon-Fri 8:30 - 12.00 and 13.00 - 16:30

but this is just a 60 day extension for visiting thai spouse - not an annual extension

List you give is ok for a Police Order 777/2551 Section 2.24 (Visiting Thai Spouse) 60 Day Extension; but please be aware that in some areas a subsequent Work Permit renewal is not possible with this type of Extension of Permission to Stay.

You might be asked for a map drawn showing where you live and photos of you/wife together.

Oh goodness. How do I cancel my work extension? I thought it just expired tomorrow as my permitted to stay stamp says June 30th.

The visa office at work is cancelling work permit. They said there is nothing more for me to do with regards to that??

I dont have photos.

I guess we just turn up with what weve got and see what they say

The letter is needed to show that your job did not end before the date the extension runs out because your extension ends on the date you stop working.

See if your employer can give you the letter today. Even a faxed (or scanned) copy might work.

of all days the visa office is closed at work.

Can you give me an indication of what to tell the secretary to type?

Thanks

Address to immigration.

Mr. Guru's employment ends on date.

Put passport number in letter and if somebody has it a copy of notification to labor office cancelling work permit.

Thanks everyone for advice.

I would just like to share my wonderful day out at immigration. Arrived at 3pm. Was given a ticket and waited over an hour for my number to be called only to be told I shouldn't have an n ticket but an l ticket. The lovely policewoman kept on asking what I wanted even though I had clearly stated it in the application form. She then passes it on and I get it back about 425pm with the only stamp being a cancelled permission of stay on my current entry. She then tells us to go to l. Manage to find 1 desk manned. He goes through my documents and says yes you can have 60 days but come back on Monday because it is 430 & too late to accept money today. He tells me to bring 1500 bt overstay and 1900 on Monday. Don't queue but just go straight to his desk. I said I'm a little worried about being on overstay this weekend but he just laughed it off and said no problem.

In a taxi by 5pm & back on Sukhumvit for 730 due to gridlock traffic.

All in all a wonderful day out.
