Seeking Property Lawyer - Conveyancing

Featured Replies

Hi,

I am planning to buy a condo very soon in Bangkok.

I need to find a lawyer to go over the contract for me. Someone experienced in property contracts.

Lots of people have said 'don't bother' 'it's expensive' or 'all the contracts are standard anyway'. I'm sorry but there is no way I would spend baht 5-7 million without having a lawyer look at the contract. As well as all the other stuff that a good proprty lawyer should check. Planned buildings nearby, zoning, etc etc.

Any recommendadtions? Much appreciated.

Robo, there are many.

I had originally used Baker and McKenzie as I have used them internationally, but for the the last one I bought, I used a firm Bangkok Jurist on Silom Rd.

Very pleased with their professionalism.

No lawyer (or anyone else for that matter) here will know this for certain, or accept any liability whatsoever for whatever happens in the future.

They will however take your money with a smile.
