Have You Checked If You Will Have Internet Service After Monday?

Featured Replies

Monday will be a good day to download big files - less traffic, due to everyone being kicked off.

Thanks for the info.It seems after taking the test I am, or rather my system is as clean as a whistle.

I'm good to go...maybe my Norton 360 is just doing its job.

The news reports are a bit misleading. The internet won't "go away", the issue is DNS. The virus/trojan redirects the infected PC to (now) an FBI "clean" DNS server. Those who haven't cleaned their machines won't be able to resolve IP addresses after the FBI shuts down their DNS server. The infected servers will still have internet connectivity, it's just looks like nothing is working. Should be interesting to see how many people won't be able to connect.. whistling.gif

The attack took over the infected PC and directed users to sites constructed to look like real bank sites and the unsuspecting user would then enter their credentials and whoosh, their accounts were drained. Clever, but not clever enough to keep the bad guys from getting caught.

I checked it out and it's very good, but the performance degredation in an already degraded environement is not acceptable to me, perhaps in other countries, yes.

No degradation here, in fact more reliable access to sites................

it seems i do.

It is also highly unlikely anyone who has lost their innetube access will respond.
