From what i can see the ManU in decline, thread was started on 7/10/05 over 9 months before Manchester City thread 26/07/06 then Manchester United 1 month later,now i have been a member since 2004 but i do not remember the first threads on here, but was it the ManU in decline thread that started this Forum?.

Another interesting thing about this Forum is Liverpool FC, Thread started 1 year after the Manchester team threads but is by far the biggest one 392 pages,nearing 10,000 replies.

If memory serves nev, the forum was formed after it was found there was a need for it i.e. football topics and requests. Once the sub-forum was formed, all related topics got put in here. So there wasn't really a single topic that started this sub-forum. I'm sure all the individual team topics were started after the forum began though.

Chonabot was the original mod of the football forum too. There never was a dedicated football forum at the start. Just sports if i remember.

You should PM Jimbo with that info. I'd like to hear his thoughts on the Decline thread being around since before he was on the forum!
