The footage, shared widely on social media, portrayed garbage being carelessly tossed into the iconic river, drawing harsh criticism. The incident occurred on February 27 and was blamed on an untrained temporary employee unfamiliar with proper waste disposal procedures. Royal Galaxy Cruise expressed deep regret, reiterating their commitment to environmental sustainability. In response, the company has taken corrective measures. Contracts for all involved temporary workers were terminated, and stricter cleanliness standards have been implemented. Permanent staff will continue to receive regular training on cleanliness and waste management. “We deeply regret the incident and are committed to preserving the environment by using eco-friendly products and maintaining high cleanliness standards,” stated Royal Galaxy Cruise. The Chao Phraya River, a vital waterway for Bangkok, has long battled pollution, and this incident has reignited public concern.
