I am looking into buying a Suzuki Vitara and want to change the engine to a diesel with automatic gearbox.

Has anyone done it overhere and what would be the best engine to get for it?

Also would there be any problems the blue book?

Any info i would really appreciate ,year of the vehicle is not really important.

Engine noise a problem?

If you do change make sure you get the proper paperwork to guarantee what vehicle the engine and grearbox came from. Keep the old engine and box somewhere you can always get your hands on it.

It makes no difference when you still own the car and you can get your yearly checks done without any problems. The only time the new engine and gearbox will raise it's ugly head is when you come to sell the vehicle. At that time you will need to produce the paperwork to prove the engine and gearbox were not stolen.
