Lite Beer Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 Aussie tourist who cried 'rape' in Phuket deported today Phuket Gazette – DESTINATION OZ: Stevie Rochelle Bamford at Phuket Immigration headquarters this afternoon. Photo: Atchaa Khamlo PHUKET: Stevie Rochelle Bamford, the 21-year-old woman convicted of falsely reporting that she was raped in Patong, was deported to her native Australia today. Patong Police escorted Ms Bamford to Phuket Immigration Headquarters at midday in preparation for her return flight. The officer escorting her said Ms Bamford was scheduled to board a flight home with her boyfriend this afternoon. Ms Bamford was detained at the Baan Bang Jo Detention Center in Thalang for 15 days after confessing to having falsely reported being raped by tuk-tuk drivers. Phuket Provincial Prison Chief Rapin Nichanon confirmed to the Phuket Gazette that Ms Bamford was released from the Bang Jo Detention Center on July 18, as scheduled, and driven to freedom by a member of the Patong Police. An investigations officer at Phuket Immigration told the Gazette that Ms Bamford planned to fly back to Australia today after all the deportation documents were processed. In the event that Ms Bamford, 21, chooses to return to the Land of Smiles in the future, there will be no obstacles to her doing so. Phuket Immigration chief Panuwat Ruamrak confirmed that, unlike many other deportees, Ms Bamford had not been blacklisted from re-entering the Kingdom. BookMan Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 Be interested if the Australian media pick this story up in any way.
simple1 Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 What's the bet an Australian media outlet has already paid for her "exclusive" story - not blacklisted <deleted>?
maipompui Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 Be interested if the Australian media pick this story up in any way. Yeh i hope so..expose her as what a pathetic biatch that she is, and hope some sort of womans group[rape support etc] get her on air and make her face up to her reality....she and others like her must make real victims want to tear into her....slap, slap, wake up ..
BookMan Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 What's the bet an Australian media outlet has already paid for her "exclusive" story - not blacklisted <deleted>? Yeah maybe. I haven't read anything about her over here though.

I did miss a few weeks of basic news services due to a romantic interlude. Stevie is photogenic and young, so I can see A Current Affair or Today Tonight paying for some story. A 'What really happened' story. 1

Thailand being 3rd world, young Stevie probably didnt account for CCTV ! http://www.smh.com.a...0616-20gq7.html I am actually hoping she is presented with a bill from the Australian government.. wasting Embassy staff time and air fares (tax payer). .... plus compo for the accused !

JemJem Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 It says : ''Phuket Immigration chief Panuwat Ruamrak confirmed that, unlike many other deportees, Ms Bamford had not been blacklisted from re-entering the Kingdom.'' Why has an exception been made for her, you think ?
