A Burmese man and a woman were killed while another person was wounded after three gunmen opened fire in front of their home in Songkhla, southern Thailand, early on Wednesday morning. The victims were all workers at CPF (Thailand) Public Company Ltd where around 300 Burmese migrants, mostly from Pegu Division and western Arakan State, perform shrimp processing. The shooting happened after night workers returned from their 6 pm to 3:30 am shift. The gunmen wore masks and their identities remain unknown, Htoo Chit, the director of Foundation for Education and Developments NGO, told The Irrawaddy.
