10 Mbps With Wi-Fi?

Featured Replies

The office in the condo block I am staying claim to have 10 Mbps internet speed with the WiFi for tenants , Is it really possible to get up to that speed with any wi fi internet provider in Bangkok? I havent got it yet but thinking about it because if it;s that fast streaming video would be possible without any buffering .

Yes. We have a 16 MB connection from True in our office.

I doubt you will get anywwhere near to that 10 MB speed however, if the 10 MB is shared via WiFi with a whole building.

Also, that speed is usually for sites in Thailand, not international.

My condo has True Internet Wi-Fi and I get 1mb/s or higher downloading from many sites outside of Thailand. It does get slow sometimes but most of the time I get those speeds.

We also have (supposedly) the 16mb download option, but actual speeds vary wildly with on average 7-8mb being the average. . . uploads are pretty dam_n slow too. This applies to within Thailand as well as worldwide. And yes, we are getting True to look at it.
