Triple Entry 6 Month Tourist Visa Question...

Recommended Posts

Hello All

I've just been blown out for my non-imm O visa from the Thai Consulate in Hull UK

They gave me a TRIPLE ENTRY 6 MONTH VISA

My Question:

Is 6 months the maximum time I can get from this visa?

is it possible to get extensions or do a visa run the day b4 it expires?

thanks to anyone who can help... I'll have the correct evidance next time (getting more stringent at hull for sure)

regards to all on here

LL

Your Visa is the normal issue.

The Visa is valid for 6 months from the day it is issued.

You must do your final entry before the expiry date.

Each entry can be extended by 30 days at Immigration.

Do your last entry just before the Visa expires to get 60 days and extend it for a further 30 days.

You should manage to get almost 9 months in total providing you did not apply too early.

I was applying for a non o - visiting family

I supplied my 5 year old daughter's thai birth certificate and her thai passport (me obviously down as her father and her having my surname)

They replied saying i needed to supply documentation proving I am her guardian

Also on this returned sheet it highlighted that I could get a non o with a marriage certificate alone (not requiring any evidence relating to my daughter) - this didn't make sense to me in that surely having a dependent carries more weight than simply marrying a thai national...

I've previously had no problems for the past 5 years supplying no evidence - last year, I did get a call from Hull (my applications are always via post) asking for evidence of my daughter and they granted me on the promise I will email her passport and birth cert on my return to thailand. They gave me my visa on trust...

overly tightening up in Hull - I'll supply a load of supporting evidence next time

...or maybe even marry my daughter's mother...

good luck and regards to all
