[Myanmar] Muslim Refugees Arrive In Hyderabad

A group of Muslim Rohingyas have taken shelter in the Hafiz Babanagar and Kishanbagh districts of Hyderabad, southern India, where there are already a large number of Burmese citizens residing, said United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees field officer M Mandakini. “We don’t have the exact count of the people. But we know that some 30 persons from Myanmar arrived during the last two weeks and are living with their countrymen,†she was quoted by The Times of India. The local Safa Baitulmal NGO has apparently provided them with relief materials. Hyderabad is already home to some 22 Rohingya families who are registered as refugees.
