Out of interest how much is a taxi from Phuket airport to Patong? I think my hotel said they can do a transfer for 600 baht or may have been 800 can't remember.

600 baht is a good rate. Little bit cheaper with a meter taxi. An airport limo more like 800 baht.

If I get this right I should ignore all the taxi touts who stand in my path to the exit doors after having picked up my luggage, turn right, head for 50 meters to find the official taxi stand, heading to Karon Beach, 400 to 500 baht 100 baht airport fee included?
