You can take a Thai girl out of Thailand but you can not take the Thai out of a Thai girl. Interested to know who grabbed the knife first!!!

And at least it is not a farang who is the victim which makes a bit of a change.

Isn't a Swede a farang ?

Swedes are, middle easterners are not.

It's not Facebook, it is individual people.

They could have met in a club, or met through friends.

This sounds like a jealous possessive Mr. Mamhood went postal

on some kid who just thought he was coming to meet a girl who had been friendly.

She no doubt is the main one at fault for not considering the total picture, setting it all in motion,

but who ever grabbed the knife and killed the other is at fault ultimately.

The Thai article said that the Thai met the girl outside the hotel. He came to drop the girl off and then he started the argument and he pushed the farang. Then they fist fought. The Thai was losing the fight because the farang knows Judo. So the Thai grabbed the knife but the farang grabbed the knife from the Thai and stabbed him. It sounds to me like a self defense. But again, the Thai is dead. So we only hear 1 side of the story. Who knows if the farang told the truth or not. Either way the girl was not worth it. She wasn't even anything close to pretty. Were they blind for fighting over her? I've seen plenty of hot Swedish girls in my life time. lol

You said it, not me... but yeah ... everything I wanted to say... although if the poor Swede ever reads this... well sH*t... he's going to be feeling MIGHTY awkward...

Not sure self-defense works when the dead guy has "many stab wounds in body." Sliced, diced and julienned is a bit over the top.

Self defense or not...the guys concerned is deep in sh*t unless he has money/contacts behind him...18 years old and for all intents an purposes the rest of his life is screwed

In this day and age, it is advisable not to become involved with Thai women or treat with extreme caution.

Why? There are a million reasons and this has been one of them.

Thailand has become extremely commercialised, and the society as a whole much more affluent than it used to be and the women can be a lot more independent in liberal minded Thailand.

Thai attitudes towards relationships have changed dramatically over the years, no longer are the women the loyal, subservient little Thai princesses as most often they are portrayed in the West and the Western guys are led to believe.

My advice is: treat with caution and don`t fall head over heals over a cute smile and perhaps after one night of passion, because the times, they are a changing.

Facebook kills. Not the first death caused by Mark Zuckerberg's website........wink.png

Killing a person over wanting to meet someone else, call it what you like but it is murder. These are kids, no real love triangle, they were not married and the girl was just wanting friends as all young people do and even old guys like me. To kill some one over a simple thing as this tells me the boy from Sweden has a mental problem. Look when I was 18 I had my heart broken many times a year and so did the girls I dated for sure, jealous etc but I just moved on to find another girlfriend as the girls I met and have been with did also.

Don't blame anyone but the person who committed the murder. No the girl, not the guy she met on facebook or facebook.

Irrespective of who grabbed the knife first, the killer is guilty.

There is no question about it.

Guilty of what - murder? manslaughter? justifiable homocide? crime of passion? self defense? pre-meditated killing (the Swede bought the knife)?

Carrying a knife with a 6 inch blade would be illegal in many countries - or was it a new kitchen knife.

No witnesses, just the Swede's version and his girl from outside.

If the Swede's version is true - i.e. the knife was picked up and used against him first, and he then used it himself, what would you charge him with?

What ever the BiB decide the charge is...the fact is you have a Thai national dead at the hands of farang....not good, the deceased will be made out to be a saintly victim and the killer a mentally deranged farang, what ever the charge would think the guy will be going down for a long while

Once again simple duplicity ends in tragedy.

Why does it appear that Thai women expect no results from slighting men, and why do these idiot men resort to chicken s**t violence over these girls. Why don't people just punch each other and walk away.

Where does this intense childish jealousy come from?

Get over it.

RIP to the dead...

Mind you I keep thinking Mr. Mamood looks like a very young Elvis Costello.

Speaking for myself...the girl ain't worth doing time for...but that's my call

based solely on her looks in the photo.erhaps she has a nice personality?

Who knows....Who cares...

It would be greath if you keep your ignorance on your side of the world wide web.

Don't worry many police will handle this with your principals.

But there are many questions...

He just arived Thailand and she want to see a stranger on the second day and make the date in his hotel? You must be kidding me?

A. It was a setup to rob him

B. The Thai kid dislike the farang come here to take "ther" girls

C. be creative... be a detective... c'mon

So he try to defend himself from what? A stranger comming to his Hotel...

Can we believe the girl that she don't know the Thai kid in real life? Many questions...

But yea lock him up and throw away his life, even if he did not start

Well i don't think it's too much of a leap of logic to think it's an act if passion, but then, of course who knows.

But once again, girl with two guys, someone dies.
