Featured Replies

Severe flooding in Karen State’s Hpa-an Township has left as many as 6,000 people homeless, according to the Karen News Group. Temporary shelters have been set up for the victims, with food and other necessities supplied by the World Food Program and health care provided by the government. Other areas in Karen State affected by flooding are Hlaingbwe, Kama Maung, Shwe Gone and Kyain Seikgyi townships. Myawaddy Township, on the Thai-Burmese border, was also hard hit. There has also been flooding in Irrawaddy, Pegu, Tenasserim and Rangoon divisions and Mon and Arakan states.
